Project History
In 2011, I discovered Vocaloid and was inspired to create Black Rose Harmony due to the lack of male voices in the community. This led to the creation of my first voice bank, Gabriel Andrew Kuratorane, in 2012.
Initially, I aimed to create a Vocaloid with my voice, but challenges like contacting developers due to my age led me to explore other options. I eventually found success with UTAU, learning to create voice banks and improve pronunciation.

Despite facing financial constraints and difficulties in promoting the project, I persevered, driven by my passion for self-expression. Although Black Rose Harmony hasn't made a huge impact yet, hearing my UTAUs speak fills me with joy and motivates me to keep going.

Our main goal at Black Rose Harmony is to offer variety and fun to the voice synthesizer community, providing high-quality voices and a captivating story for our characters. We are guided by values such as kindness, humility, honesty, respect, and camaraderie.

We hope to have a positive impact on the community, being helpful and willing to assist those in need. We stand out for the wide variety of voices we offer, as well as the quality and ease of use of our voices. We aim to be seen as an ambitious and dedicated project, always striving to improve and provide good quality for the community's use.

We consider that we have achieved success when our voices or characters are used in covers, original songs, talkloids, or animations, which fills us with satisfaction and drives us forward.
Objectives and Philosophy

Development and Evolution

Since its inception, Black Rose Harmony has undergone significant evolution. It started with voice banks lacking naturalness, but over time, new formats such as CVVC and VCCV were introduced to improve voice quality. In 2022, the CVC+ format was implemented, allowing for the creation of more natural multipitch voice banks.

Key milestones include character development and the creation of covers by
the community. However, the project has faced challenges in adapting to
changes in voice synthesizer technology, such as the IA singing version.

Among the most prideful achievements is the improvement in voice fluency and
comprehensibility, as well as the development of stories and personalities for project
characters.

In terms of quality and functionality, there has been significant improvement, with voices becoming more understandable and diverse possibilities for singing and usage, including a variety of languages.Despite challenges in promotion and outreach, efforts are being made to reach a broader audience.

Characters and Voices
Black Rose Harmony features a variety of unique characters, each with their own distinctive voice. The main ones include Gabriel Kuratorane, Drew Bennett, Angelo Reichmann, Valentim Ribeiro, Mathieu Beaufort, Tiberio Benevento, Tariq Hossam, D’mitri Magomedov, and Jun-Bae Ha. Each character reflects different aspects of Gabriel Kuratorane's personality.

The voices of the characters are closely related to their individual characteristics. For example, Drew's comforting smoothness reflects his compassionate nature, while Angelo's rough voice showcases his darker and more aggressive side.

Characters are developed from both the positive and negative aspects of the project creator, GabrielUtau. Animal species and personalities are chosen to represent various aspects of human nature, from Valentim's adventurous energy to Tariq's calculating seriousness.

Each character has their own story and background, which is used to promote the project and connect with users. From everyday problems to complex emotions, the characters are easily identifiable and relatable to the audience.

Diversity and inclusion are key elements in the selection of characters and voices. This allows a wide range of people to identify with the characters and find relevance in their stories and personalities.
